Watercolour Painting on Canvas or Wood Panel (1 day)

You will prepare your canvases before attending the workshop. You will enjoy working with watercolours in a way that is similar to working with acrylic paint on canvas . You will work with bright clean colours and you will be able to lift your paints, add textures and patterns, and even work impasto with your watercolours. You will be able to collage your work if desired, and work in abstract or with recognizable Images.

There are good reasons to do this, not the least of which is the ease of not framing your work under glass, in fact, not needing to frame at all if you use gallery canvas. There will be discussions on how to make these works archival, how to use fixative and then varnish. This will also allow you to work watercolour on canvas or on wood panel out in the field.
